A great way to refresh your hair and give it a nutritional boost.
Ingredients
- 3 heaping Tbsp. bentonite clay
- 2 tsp. apple cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. mixed oils
- 1 tsp. vegetable glycerin
- 5-10 drops essential oils
- 1 Tbsp. water, or as needed
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients, besides water, using non-metal utensils. Add enough water to mix into a thick but smooth paste.
- Slather all over dry hair, covering roots to ends. Cover hair with shower cap, and let sit for one hour.
- Rinse well, and wash hair as normal.
Notes
Metal utensils may cause a reaction with the clay, hence non-metal utensils are recommended.
These measurements are appoximate, and make enough mask for about shoulder-length hair. Depending on how much hair you have, you may need less or more.
Dry hair allows the oils to penetrate the hair, whereas wet hair might repel the oils.
Suggested oils: argon, castor, olive, coconut, jojoba
Suggested essential oils: peppermint, rosemary, tea tree, frankincense
