Sub sandwiches

The at-home way to make a classic sub sandwich.
Ingredients
Bread
- 2 slices of sandwich bread
- 1-12″ sub sandwich bread
Meat
- 4 slices of turkey breast/lunch meat
- BBQ chicken
- Tuna salad
Toppings
- 1 tomato
- 2 slices of provolone cheese
- 1/2 avocado
- 2 slices of lettuce
- Oregano
- Red wine vinegar
- Mayonnaise
- Mustard
Instructions
- Choose one of the choices for bread and meat. Use any or all of the toppings.
- Cut bread in half, if necessary. Spread mayonnaise and mustard on one side. Top with thinly sliced tomato then sprinkle oregano and red wine vinegar on top.
- Smash avocado on other side. Add cheese and meat on top.
- Fold in half and enjoy.
Notes
To heat lunch meat to prevent bacteria, put lunch meat on a baking sheet in a 250°F oven for 5 minutes until steaming.
