A more mature version of an American classic.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1/2 medium onion
  • 1/2 red bell pepper
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp. dijon mustard
  • 3 Tbsp. coconut aminos
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Mince onion and bell pepper in a food processor. Add to a large pot with beef.
  2. Cook beef and vegetables over medium (5) heat until beef is no longer pink, stirring and breaking up beef often. Once cooked, drain off excess liquid.
  3. Add remaining ingredients to pot. Allow to simmer over medium-low (3) for 5-10 minutes, stirring every few minutes.
