A more mature version of an American classic.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1/2 medium onion
- 1/2 red bell pepper
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 Tbsp. dijon mustard
- 3 Tbsp. coconut aminos
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Mince onion and bell pepper in a food processor. Add to a large pot with beef.
- Cook beef and vegetables over medium (5) heat until beef is no longer pink, stirring and breaking up beef often. Once cooked, drain off excess liquid.
- Add remaining ingredients to pot. Allow to simmer over medium-low (3) for 5-10 minutes, stirring every few minutes.
