Croissant french toast bake

A delicious, filling way to use up stale leftover croissants.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. amaretto
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 5 medium leftover croissants, cubed
- 2 Tbsp. sliced almonds (optional)
- Sprinkle of sugar
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, brown sugar, amaretto, vanilla, and cinnamon. Carefully fold in croissant pieces until they all have been hydrated.
- Pour mixture into a 8” x 4” baking dish, gently pressing the top flat. Sprinkle sliced almonds and sugar on top.
- Bake at 350°F for 22-28 minutes until set, covering with foil after 20 minutes.
