Sweet tea

Yield: 1/2 gallon

A moderately sweet tea that is perfect for summertime.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 gallon (8 cups) water, divided
  • 8 black tea bags
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add in tea bags. 
  2. Allow to steep for 5 minutes, then remove tea bags. 
  3. Stir in sugar until fully dissolved.
  4. Pour tea base into a 1/2 gallon container. Top with 5 more cups of water and stir.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until cold.
