A flavorful way to serve tilapia.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium whole tilapia
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • Salt, pepper, seasoning (Nature’s season)
  • 2 cups peanut oil

Instructions

  1. Wash fish. Use scissors to cut off any fins. Slice into 1 1/2-2” slices. Place cut fish pieces in a strainer inside a large container.
  2. Evenly sprinkle just enough lemon juice over fish for a light coating. Season generously on all sides with salt, pepper, and Nature’s season. Allow to sit at room temperature for up to 30 minutes or refrigerate for up to 6 hours. 
  3. When ready to fry, add enough oil to a pot to make it 1/2” deep or enough to cover a little more than half the fish. Heat over medium (5). 
  4. Once oil is hot, fry fish pieces in batches. Flip once underside is brown, ~3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Remove pieces from oil and set on a plate lined with paper towel.
