Fried cabbage

A tasty side dish that compliments pretty much anything.
Ingredients
- 1 small head of cabbage
- 3 slices of bacon
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1/2 tsp. Lawry’s
- 1/2 tsp. Nature’s season
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
Instructions
- Cut bacon into 1/2″ pieces. Set aside.
- Cut cabbage into 3/8″ rounds. Put into a strainer and rinse in the sink.
- Heat a cast iron skillet over medium (4-5) heat. Add bacon and cook until just starting to firm up.
- Add cabbage, then sprinkle seasonings on top. Cover and allow to cook undisturbed for 5-7 minutes.
- Remove lid and flip bottom cabbage to the top. Cover and allow to cook undisturbed for another 5-7 minutes.
- Repeat flipping and cooking cabbage until cabbage has reached desired texture, breaking up cabbage with each turn. Adjust seasonings and oil, as needed.
