A sticky, rich combination of chocolate lava cake and a brownie that is sure to please.

Ingredients

Bottom layer

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp. instant coffee
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup + 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. coconut oil

Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup boiling water

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, cocoa powder, instant coffee, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Add in milk, sugar, and coconut oil and stir until combined.
  2. Spread batter evenly into a 9”x5” bread pan.
  3. In a seperate bowl, mix the cocoa powder and sugar for the sauce. Sprinkle evenly over the bottom layer.
  4. Pour boiling water on top of everything, making sure every place is covered but it is not being mixed.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 33-35 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
