Ghana-style red pepper sauce

A perfect spicy addition to any meal.
Ingredients
- 1/3 c. oil (olive and/or avocado)
- 3 habaneros, green tops removed
- 3 red chili peppers, green tops removed
- 1/2 onion
- 3-4 cloves garlic
- 1″ ginger
- 1 medium tomato (more or less for desired spiciness)
- 1/4 red bell pepper (optional)
- 1 tsp. dried or a few sprigs of fresh cilantro, parsley, and/or oregano (optional)
- 1 Tbsp. bullion, to taste
- salt, to taste
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients until smooth.
- Bring to a simmer on medium (4) heat. Lower heat to medium-low (3), stirring often. Cook until the water is absorbed and oil has risen to the top, ~15-20 minutes.
Notes
Add more peppers or more tomato to adjust the spiciness level.
